Isolating & mains transformers
The isolating transformer is a transformer with protective separation between the input and output windings. Isolating transformers are used to electrically separate circuits in order to limit the dangers that arise from accidental simultaneous contact between earth and live parts or metal parts that may be live in the event of an insulation fault. Isolating transformers can be used to fulfill the protective measure of “protective separation”. DIN VDE 0570 Part 2-4 applies to isolating transformers. The scope of application is as follows (maximum rated values): input voltage 1000 V; output voltage 1000 V (load and no-load); frequency < 500 Hz; single-phase power 25 kVA; three-phase power 40 kVA.
Special for use in shipbuilding: We manufacture according to classification societies upon request. On-site testing and acceptance is possible (e.g. Bureau Veritas (BV), Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Lloyd's Register of Shipping (LRS).
